🩺 PMDC Announces MDCAT 2025 to Be Conducted on Domicile Basis

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially announced that the MDCAT 2025 exam will be conducted strictly on domicile basis. This new policy means that candidates must appear in the province linked to their domicile and will not be allowed to sit for the test in any other province.

📍 Designated Exam Centers

To ensure smooth implementation, PMDC has designated universities across all provinces and Islamabad as official test centers:

• Sindh: IBA Sukkur

• Balochistan: Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta

• Islamabad: Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU)

• Punjab & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Candidates will appear at their respective provincial universities

👉 A special test center in Islamabad will also be set up to accommodate candidates from Sindh and Balochistan. Moreover, students from Azad Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and all provinces may appear at SZABMU, but seats will still be allocated according to provincial quotas.

📑 Domicile Requirement

PMDC has made it mandatory for students to present a valid domicile certificate of the concerned province for admission into medical and dental colleges.

Additionally, reserved seats remain in place for candidates from Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan to ensure fair representation.

🗓 Revised MDCAT 2025 Schedule

In light of the recent floods across the country, the MDCAT exam date has been rescheduled:

• Original Date: October 5, 2025

• New Date: Sunday, October 26, 2025

This decision was taken following the directive of Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal to provide relief to affected students.
