Punjab Makes Teacher Transfers Easier

Good news for teachers in Punjab! The provincial government has relaxed its transfer policy, making it much easier for teachers to move closer to home.

Until now, teachers had to spend at least three years at one posting before they could even apply for a transfer. This often caused problems for those living far from their families. But with the new policy, this condition has been removed—teachers can now request transfers without waiting for three years.

How to Apply

Teachers who want to transfer under the open merit category can now submit their applications online.

• 📜 Transfer orders issued: October 15, 2025
