The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has issued an important circular regarding school maintenance during the upcoming spring holidays.
According to the notification dated 12 March 2026, all PEF partner schools across Punjab are directed to utilize the spring vacation period from 10 March to 31 March 2026 to carry out necessary maintenance, cleanliness, and repair work in school premises.
Key Instructions for Schools
PEF has advised school administrations to ensure the following actions during the holidays:

Complete cleanliness of school premises should be carried out to improve the learning environment.

Water tanks, washrooms, and sanitation facilities must be inspected, cleaned, and repaired where necessary.

School gates, classrooms, and walls should be properly cleaned and maintained.

If required, minor repair and maintenance work should be completed before schools reopen.
These measures aim to ensure that when the academic session 2026–27 begins after Eid-ul-Fitr 2026, students return to clean, safe, and well-maintained educational environments.
PEF has emphasized that partner schools should take full advantage of the holiday period to improve school facilities and ensure a healthy atmosphere for students and staff.
