The Government of the Punjab, School Education Department, has issued an official notification (No. SO (ADP-II)-1-37/2024) regarding Immediate Safety Measures for Declared Dangerous & Partially Dangerous School Buildings across Punjab.
The notification has been addressed to:

All Deputy Commissioners / Chairpersons of DEAs

All Chief Executive Officers, District Education Authorities in Punjab
1️⃣ Immediate Vacation of Buildings
All buildings declared Dangerous or Partially Dangerous must be vacated immediately. Under no circumstances shall students be allowed to enter, sit, study, or assemble in such buildings.
2️⃣ Sealing & Warning Signboards
All such buildings must be properly cordoned off and sealed. Clear warning signboards must be installed.
3️⃣ Strict Accountability
In case of any untoward incident due to negligence or non-compliance, the concerned CEO, DEO, Dy. DEO, AEO, and Head Teacher shall be held personally responsible. Strict disciplinary action will be initiated under relevant rules.
The School Education Department has directed all Chief Executive Officers to ensure strict compliance in letter and spirit. Non-compliance will be viewed seriously and dealt with under applicable rules.
