(SOPs) for Conduct of Training Needs Assessment (TNA) Test
The government has issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for conducting Training Needs Assessment (TNA) for government school teachers. These SOPs aim to streamline the process of assessing both content knowledge and teaching skills through online systems and interviews. Participants All teachers, including principals, senior headmasters, headmasters, and deputy headmasters, will participate in the TNA. Assessment Method The assessment will be conducted online, focusing on content knowledge, teaching, and cognitive abilities, followed by an interview by a panel. Role of CEO - DEA The CEO of the District Education Authority (CEO-DEA) will act as the district focal person and will be responsible for the overall conduct of TNA within the stipulated timeframe. The CEO-DEA will designate Deputy DEOs (male and female) as focal persons at the tehsil level to ensure smooth delivery of TNA according to the timeline. The CEO-DEA will ensure the proper arrangement of assessment centers at the tehsil level and make all necessary preparations for TNA, ensuring the participation of all teachers within their jurisdiction. Management of Assessment Centers The CEO-DEA will be responsible for mapping the assessment centers according to the number of teachers at the tehsil level and informing all participants about the date, time, and location of the TNA. Only one TNA center will be established in each school, where a two-member interview panel will conduct the interview and an assessment administrator will manage the online TNA. Schedule and Logistics Each day, 25 teachers will participate in the online TNA and interviews, with an increased batch size on Saturdays and Sundays. The online TNA will be conducted according to a time schedule and will last 45 minutes. The time will start as soon as the start button is pressed, and TNA will be auto-submitted after 45 minutes. Separate TNA centers will be set up for male and female teachers. The CEO-DEA will ensure the provision of tablets, which have already been distributed to all districts under the TALEEM program. Ensuring Smooth Operations The CEO-DEA will ensure the timely completion of TNA on a daily basis, especially in women's TNA centers. The CEO-DEA will also be responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted power supply and internet provision at TNA centers. Duration of TNA The online TNA will last for 45 minutes, while the interview time for each teacher will range from 5 to 10 minutes. Please share this information with all teachers. Thank you.
