The Government of Punjab School Education Department has officially allowed the establishment of Summer Camps in Public and Private Schools across Punjab during Summer Vacations from 01 June 2026 to 30 June 2026.
According to the official notification issued on 29 May 2026, summer camps will only be conducted from Monday to Thursday, while Friday will remain off. The camps are permitted for all classes and can only be held between 07:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
The department has strictly directed schools to ensure:
- No extra fee for summer camps in private schools
- No tuition fee in government schools
- Indoor/classroom-based activities only
- Parent consent for participation
- Clean drinking water, electricity backup, and proper sitting arrangements
- Availability of first aid facilities
- Weather-friendly clothing instead of uniforms
Participation in summer camps will not be mandatory for students.
The School Education Department has further warned that strict legal action will be taken against institutions violating these instructions.
