The Law Admission Test (LAT) is a mandatory examination conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for students seeking admission to LLB degree programs across Pakistan. Admission to law colleges and universities recognized by HEC and the Pakistan Bar Council requires successful completion of the LAT.
Passing Criteria
• Total Marks: 100
• Minimum Passing Marks: 50% (50/100)

Objective Section (75 Marks)
• English – 20 MCQs
• General Knowledge – 20 MCQs
• Pakistan Studies – 10 MCQs
• Islamic Studies – 10 MCQs
• Urdu – 10 MCQs
• Basic Mathematics – 05 MCQs
Subjective Section (25 Marks)
• Essay Writing (English or Urdu) – 15 Marks
• Personal Statement Writing (English or Urdu) – 10 Marks
Both objective and subjective sections are important for achieving the required passing score.
