The Punjab School Education Department has initiated a comprehensive School Asset Survey to assess missing facilities in government schools across the province. The initiative aims to improve educational infrastructure by identifying shortages and ensuring better learning environments for students.
According to the update, the survey will cover approximately 30,000 schools across Punjab. In Lahore alone, the survey has already been completed in 1,207 schools.
The survey teams are collecting information regarding:
- School buildings
- Electricity availability
- Water supply
- Furniture
- Toilets
- Boundary walls
- Classrooms
- Other essential educational facilities
The collected data will help the government prioritize development projects and allocate resources where they are most needed. The initiative is expected to strengthen school infrastructure and enhance the quality of education throughout Punjab.
