Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has issued a clarification regarding his recent remarks about teachers, stating that his speech is being misrepresented through AI-generated fake videos and edited clips circulating on social media.
According to his statement, 70–75% of teachers are honest, hardworking, and deserve respect and honor. He requested the public to watch his complete speech instead of relying on short edited videos shared online.
The minister further stated that he would continue taking strict action against those teachers allegedly involved in cheating mafias, absenteeism, corruption, and theft of school property. He also claimed that a list of around 1,000 teachers allegedly linked to cheating and result manipulation during ongoing board examinations would be released after due process.
