The School Education Department (SED), Government of Punjab, has officially announced the conduct of the written test for the merit-based posting of Headteachers in public schools across Punjab.
According to the notification issued on 22 June 2026, the examination will be held on 23 June 2026 and will be conducted by the Punjab Education Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA).
To ensure transparency and smooth conduct of the assessment, district administrations have been directed to provide full cooperation and necessary facilitation. The following arrangements have been made mandatory at designated test centers:
✅ Installation of CCTV cameras for monitoring and transparency.
✅ Uninterrupted power supply throughout the examination.
✅ Availability of tablets and stable internet connectivity for candidates.
District authorities have also been instructed to nominate focal persons to coordinate with PECTAA and address any operational matters promptly.
The School Education Department emphasized strict compliance with all instructions to ensure a fair, transparent, and efficient testing process.
