Key Highlights of SBA 2025
- Assessment Dates: March 10 to March 21, 2025
- Grades Covered: 1 to 8
- Shifts: Morning (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Fridays 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) and Afternoon (2:30 PM – 5:30 PM)
- Objective: Evaluate student performance based on the syllabus and Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) outlined in the Academic Calendar.
- Parent-Teacher Meeting: Scheduled for April 3, 2025, to share report cards.

Key Activities and Timelines
To streamline the SBA process, the PEC has outlined the following key activities:
- Uploading of Item Bank: March 3, 2025
- Paper Generation from Item Bank System (IBS): Up to March 9, 2025
- Conduct of SBA: March 10 – March 21, 2025
- Marking of Papers: March 11 – March 24, 2025
- Report Card Preparation: March 25 – March 27, 2025
- Sharing Report Cards with Parents: April 3, 2025
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for SBA 2025
The PEC has introduced detailed SOPs to ensure a fair and efficient assessment process:
- Item Bank System (IBS):
- The Item Bank will be uploaded on March 3, 2025, aligned with the Academic Calendar’s syllabus and SLOs.

- Schools must generate question papers via their IBS login, featuring a scannable QR code with EMIS details.
- Bilingual Papers:
- Papers will be bilingual (English and Urdu) except for English, Urdu, Tarjuma-tul-Quran-ul-Majeed, and Ethics. Schools can choose the medium for other subjects.
- Paper Format:
- Grades 3-8: Two-page papers with QR codes, marked using IBS-generated keys and rubrics.

- Grades 1-2: Oral assessments (5 sections, 20 marks each) with one written question for English and Urdu. Four-page colored prints for teachers.
- Assessment of Skills:
- Listening, speaking, and reading skills for English and Urdu will be assessed separately using provided rubrics.
- Optional Subjects:
- Schools will develop papers for optional subjects (32 MCQs, 48 marks; 5 CRQs, 52 marks) following PEC guidelines.
- Monitoring and Compliance:
- CEOs of District Education Authorities (DEAs) will ensure adherence to SOPs and the schedule.

- Parent Engagement:
- Report cards, prepared in the prescribed IBS format, will be shared during the Parent-Teacher Meeting on April 3, 2025.
Important Instructions for Schools
- Public and Private Schools: CEOs-DEAs will circulate the schedule and SOPs to all schools. Private schools can contact their respective CEO-DEA for IBS login credentials.
- Assessment Register: Schools must maintain and update an Assessment Register for all terms.
- Implementation: CEOs-DEAs are responsible for ensuring full compliance with SOPs.
