PEC Conducts Scrutiny Meeting for Establishment of Nawaz Sharif School of Artificial Intelligence
The Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) has formally initiated the scrutiny process of proposals submitted for the establishment of the Nawaz Sharif School of Artificial Intelligence. The scrutiny meeting commenced today, 5 January 2026, at PEC Headquarters, Lahore.
The session was chaired by senior officials and attended by members of the Scrutiny Committee, representatives from applicant institutions, and relevant stakeholders. During the meeting, detailed evaluations of submitted proposals were conducted in accordance with the approved Terms of Reference (TORs).
Key aspects reviewed during the scrutiny included institutional capacity, infrastructure availability, academic framework, faculty strength, technological resources, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The committee also assessed alignment with national education policies and the objectives of promoting advanced education in Artificial Intelligence.
PEC officials emphasized transparency, merit, and adherence to established criteria throughout the evaluation process. The scrutiny aims to ensure that the proposed institution meets international standards in artificial intelligence education and contributes effectively to Pakistan’s growing digital and technological landscape.
The scrutiny process will continue as per the scheduled plan, after which shortlisted proposals will proceed to the next phase of evaluation.
