PECTAA Notification – Grade 8 Examination 2026
Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA), Lahore has issued an important notification for all Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), District Education Authorities (DEAs) regarding the confirmation of clusters, examination centers, and school mapping for the conduct of Grade 8 Examination 2026 at the district level.

All District Education Authorities are requested to confirm:

Examination clusters
-
Designated examination centers
-
Mapping and attachment of schools with their respective examination centers
This process must be completed to ensure the smooth conduct of the Grade 8 Examination 2026.
Online System for School Mapping
PECTAA has developed an online module to facilitate the mapping and attachment of schools with examination centers.

Guidelines for Examination Centers
While finalizing clusters and examination centers, the following guidelines must be strictly followed:

Separate examination centers must be designated for male and female students.

The distance between a school and its assigned examination center should be within an 8 km radius.

The maximum number of students at an examination center must not exceed 300, with a minimum of 60 students.

Students enrolled in a school notified as an examination center shall not be allocated the same school as their examination venue.
