A high-level meeting chaired by Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat was held today to review progress on the Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence Project. The meeting was attended by PEF Chairman Malik Shoaib Awan and Managing Director Shahid Fareed.
Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a total of 300 Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence will be established across Punjab in two phases to provide students with world-class, modern, and quality education.
In the first phase, 128 Schools of Eminence are being established. Out of these, 89 schools have achieved more than 50% progress in construction and development works. Continuous monitoring is being carried out to ensure quality and timely completion.
The project is progressing rapidly, with admissions, operationalization, and physical verification processes already underway. So far, 76,951 students have been enrolled, including 39,336 boys and 37,615 girls, reflecting strong public confidence in the initiative.
📚 Students will receive free textbooks, while a co-education model at the primary level is also being implemented effectively.
The schools will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including:

✅ Robotics Laboratories
✅ Computer Laboratories
✅ Smart Board Classrooms
✅ ECCE Rooms
✅ Modern Sports Grounds
These facilities are designed to enhance students’ scientific, technological, creative, and critical-thinking skills in line with global educational standards.

Speaking on the occasion, the Provincial Education Minister stated that the Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence Project is a practical manifestation of the Chief Minister’s vision to transform education in Punjab. The initiative will promote quality education, modern technology, scientific thinking, and innovation, ensuring that every child receives opportunities to compete at the global level.
The Government of Punjab remains fully committed to the successful implementation of this landmark project and will utilize all available resources while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
