The Directorate General of Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education (Operations Wing), Government of the Punjab, has officially extended summer vacations in all Non-Formal Schools across Punjab until 30 June 2026 due to the prevailing harsh weather conditions.
According to the notification issued on 17 June 2026, the extension applies to all schools operating under the following programs:
- Non-Formal Basic Education Schools (NFBES)
- Non-Formal Elementary Education Schools (NFEES)
- GPE Taleem Program Schools
The decision has been taken in the interest of students, teachers, and staff members to ensure their safety during the ongoing extreme weather conditions. All concerned authorities have been directed to ensure compliance with the notification in letter and spirit.
